  1. Tips to Create Resume For Study Abroad When you hear the word resume, the first thing that comes to your mind is job hunting. However, did you know that if you are a student aspiring to go abroad for higher studies, you would also have to send out your resume with the applications to the universities? In US and Canada, both are considered different, with resume being shorter than a CV. It is also sent out to universities along with your applications, used mainly as a marketing tool to promote one’s capabilities and strengths to the admissions committee. A resume that you send should normally include a brief introduction of you background, your scholastic achievements and accomplishments. Let’s have a look at the format for your resume. It should have a title with the contact details and name of the applicant.

  2. Then you can go on to give the academic or educational qualification and details. Since you are looking to study abroad, be sure to include the scores of the tests that you would have attempted, such as SATs, GMAT, GRE, TOEFL or IELTS. If you have done well in any extracurricular or in your studies, mention the award you received for it. Give a brief mention of the co-curricular activities or the internships and work experience that you may have gained along the way. You can also give details of the voluntary work that you may have done. You resume should also have a reference section, where you can mention names and contact details of those who can vouch for your character, work ethics, achievements and such details. For reference, you could give names of your school teacher or maybe your employer. A well prepared resume highlighting your capabilities and plus points on the basis of truth will sure impress the admissions committee.
