  4. When the 9/11 occurred, a fireman requests help at ground zero. An engine from Flight 93 was recovered. Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. The location of the accident occurred in New York City, near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The day and time this occurred was on a Tuesday, September 11, 2001, 8:46 AM – 10:28 AM. A couple of people were involved were high-jackers, mass murderers, suicide attackers, and terrorists. Just about 2,446 people died in the accident, more than 6,000 injured.   5. Back in 2001 the two tallest buildings got hit with a plan and killed hundreds. Terrorists were the ones who were controlling the plane. The two towers were in New York. After this happened, the United States have been more secure in the airports. The United States went to war with the terrorists. The leader of all the terrorists was Osama bin Laden, who was assassinated in 2009. 9/11 Attacks #2

  6. Back in 2001, a terrorist named Osama bin Laden took over a plane. He had a bomb on him and also guns. He was threatening to kill everybody that was on the plain. Then the plane hit the Empire State Building and blew up. The accident killed thousands of civilians. But the terrorist was never found at the scene. They finally caught Osama bin Laden back in 2008. 9/11 Attacks #3

On Sept. 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four passenger jets. • One was purposely crashed into each of the World Trade Center towers in NYC, destroying the buildings and killing approximately 2,600 people. • One was purposely crashed into the Pentagon building in Washington, D.C., causing damage and killing 125 people. • A fourth plane crashed near Shanksville, Penn., when passengers attempted to overpower the hijackers. 44 were killed, including the 4 hijackers. The Al-Qaeda organization claimed responsibility for the attacks. • Al-Qaeda was led by Osama bin Laden, and it is opposed to the influence of foreign countries on Muslim countries. • It includes the U.S. among its enemies, and the U.S. (and others) have labeled Al-Qaeda as a terrorist organization. • On Sept. 11, two hijackers did begin their day by flying out of Portland, ME to Boston, MA, where they hijacked a plane and crashed it into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
