  2. 2010 IEEE-SA corporate membership model • Two levels of corporate membership • Basic • Advanced • Each level consists of four tiers • Based on company revenue and organization type

Basic member benefits • Unlimited working group attendance as an observer only • Participate in an unlimited number of entity-based Sponsor ballot groups • Determine governance of IEEE-SA • By electing IEEE-SA Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) and IEEE-SA Board of Governors (BOG) members • Put forward a candidate to be elected or appointed as a CAG member

Basic member benefits (cont.) • Receive standards-related information • SA-News email covering IEEE-SA activities and events • Standards Focus corporate program quarterly e-newsletter • Access to private areas of Corporate Program web area • Alerts about new entity-based standards projects • Subscribe to entity-based standards working group public reflectors • Complimentary IEEE-SA individual memberships (number based on membership tier)

  6. Advanced member benefits • All basic membership benefits . . . Plus • Attain voting rights in an unlimited number of entity-based working groups (upon meeting any other requirements set by the working group) • Make motions and vote • Nominate and elect working group officers • Serve as working group officers • Make proposals and technical contributions, speak on motions • Access to working group information/private reflectors/private areas • Entity working groups receive IEEE-SA project support to bring corporate standards to successful conclusion NOTE: Membership and voting rights in working groups are subject to Sponsor and working group rules

  7. 2010 Advanced corporate member dues Note: Advanced corporate members do not also pay basic member dues.

Comparison with 2009 corporate membership • 2010 basic membership is like current IEEE-SA corporate membership • Required to ballot in an unlimited number of entity-based Sponsor ballots • Advanced membership is a new enhancement of corporate membership • Required to participate and vote in an unlimited number of entity-based working groups • Provides support services for standards development in entity-based working groups in addition to basic membership benefits

Value of 2010 model • Single billing for membership and participation in entity-based working groups and Sponsor ballot groups • Allows participation in as many entity-based working groups and Sponsor ballot groups as you want • Attractive, predictable pricing Result: Companies pay dues for one corporate membership per year to hold voting rights in multiple IEEE entity-based standards projects

Early opt-in • Current IEEE-SA corporate members who wish to become advanced corporate members can select to pay a one-time fee to upgrade their membership until its regular renewal date • Removes all Entity Project Paticipation (EPP) fee payments ($4K/project/entity/year) through corporate membership regular renewal date
