  1. PRESENTATION TO NCOP: SELECT COMMITTEE ON FINANCE CONDITIONAL GRANTS: 30 NOVEMBER 2005 Mr. M J Mafereka MEC: Department Local Government and Housing Free State Province 20 January 2006

GRANT RECEIVED • During the 2005/06 financial year only the following conditional grants were allocated to the Free State Province in terms of the Division of Revenue Act, Act 1 of 2005: • Integrated Housing and Human Settlement Development Grant (Housing Grant) • Human Settlement and Redevelopment Grant • Additional to the above-mentioned grants, the following grants were also rolled over to the 2005/06 financial year in terms of the Division of Revenue Act as published for the 2004/05 financial year: • Local Government Capacity Building Grant • MIG Capacity Building Grant • MIG Management Fees

  5. HOUSING GRANT Expenditure for 2005/2006 until 30 November 2005

  7. HOUSING GRANT Additional to these commitments about 7 900 new subsidies were also allocated to the amount of about R 290 000 000 to ensure that the current trend of expenditure increase

  8. HUMAN SETTLEMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT GRANT

  9. LOCAL GOVERNMENT CAPACITY BUILDING GRANT This grant is not reported in terms of Section 32 of the Public Finance Management Act as a conditional grant, as no new allocation for 2005/2006 was received in the Division of Revenue Act, Act 1 of 2005

  10. MIG CAPACITY BUILDING GRANT This grant is not reported in terms of Section 32 of the Public Finance Management Act as a conditional grant, as no new allocation for 2005/2006 was received in the Division of Revenue Act, Act 1 of 2005

  11. MIG MANAGEMENT FEES This grant is not reported in terms of Section 32 of the Public Finance Management Act as a conditional grant, as no new allocation for 2005/2006 was received in the Division of Revenue Act, Act 1 of 2005
