  3. TAG agreement offers California community college students a guarantee admission to one of the six participating UC campuses based on specific requirements. University of California, Davis University of California, Santa Cruz University of California, Irvine University of California, Santa Barbara University of California, Riverside University of California, Merced

Subject to change & most current TAG criteria refer to individual UC website Who Can File a TAG? • Only students transferring directly from a California Community College are considered for a TAG, including international students (those with a visa). • The University of California defines a CCC transfer student as: • completed at least 30 semester (45 quarter) UC-transferable units at one or more California community colleges; • and the last college the student attended in a regular session (fall/spring or fall/winter/spring) before admission to a UC campus is/was a California community college. All UC TAG campuses require students to meet the above listed definition. Note: Students who have completed coursework at a four year university prior to the community college need to check with individual UC campus regarding TAG eligibility and unit limitations. http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/guarantee/index.html Who CAN NOT File a TAG? • Students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree, graduate degree, and/or professional degreecannot participate in TAG. • Students who have previously enrolled at a UC campus during a regular term (not including summer session) cannot submit a TAG application to return to that campus. • Students concurrently enrolled in high school and community college are not eligible for TAG.

Subject to change & most current TAG criteria refer to individual UC website Steps to File a TAG Application: • Students can submit a TAG application only to ONE campus. • Complete the online UC TAG application and submit it during the Fall 2015 filing period –September 1-30, 2014. https://uctap.universityofcalifornia.edu/students/index.cfm If you have any questions on your TAG eligibility/application, please see TAG counselor at Orange Coast College Transfer Center during walk in hours. • Once your TAG application is submitted, you must fulfill all remaining coursework and GPA requirements listed in your TAG agreement. • File your UC application, including a personal statement November 1-30, 2014. www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply

Subject to change & most current TAG criteria refer to individual UC website TAG Eligibility is based on: • Full-time enrollment at primary community college beginning Spring 2014 through Spring 2015 (exceptions possible for part time but students must provide explanation on the TAG application) • Complete at least 30 UC transferable semester units by the end of summer 2014. (include AP/IB) • Complete last 30 of 60 UC transferable semester units in residence at a California community college • Complete two UC-required transferable English courses and 1 UC-required transferable math course by the end of fall term 2014. • UC GPA based on the major and college: (Must have the appropriate GPA by end of summer 2014) • Agriculture & Environmental Science: (Selective: Viticulture and Enology) 3.2 • Letters & Science and Biological Science:(Selective: Psychology)3.2 • New Major in College of Biological Science- Marine and Coastal Science with focus in Marine Ecology and Organismal Behavior • New Major in College of L & S-Marine and Coastal Science with focus in Oceans and Earth System • College of Engineering (All majors are selective) 3.3 • Some majors will screen for specific courses to be completed for the Transfer Admission Guarantee along with specific grade point average. Please check www.assist.org and UCD TAG Majors for more specific information on the major requirements. All transfer admission requirements, including minimum 60 UC transferable semester units, general education and major requirements must be completed by end of spring term prior to transfer. • Landscape Architecture are approved in a “pre major” status and not guaranteed to the major. Exercise Biology major is currently suspended and not available for TAG for Fall 2015-recommendation is to apply as a Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior major • Click-UCD TAG INFO

University of California, Santa Cruz TAG Eligibility is based on: • Complete at least 30 UC transferable semester units with a minimum 3.0 UC GPA by the end of summer 2014 • First UC required transferable English course and one UC required transferable math course must be completed by end of Fall 2014, and second English course to be completed by end of Spring 2015. Demonstrate adequate progress in English and Math.(Please see counselor for more information). • UCSC will be screening for major preparation in the areas of Engineering, Biological Sciences, Economics, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Sociology. Please check www.assist.org as well as the additional UCSC Website to identify lower division major requirements and review GPA requirements on ASSIST specific to each major. • Choice of major guaranteed: Yesfor all majors in the Jack Baskin-School of Engineering, all majors in the biological sciences, all majors in • economics, all majors in physics, chemistry, biochemistry, psychology, and sociology • The remaining choice of majors are not guaranteed through TAG. • Complete at least 60 semester (90 quarter) UC transferable units with the required GPA by end of spring 2015. • Students who have attended a four year institution must have completed fewer than 20 upper division coursework in order to be eligible for UCSC TAG. • Click-UCSC TAG Info Information take from UC TAG Matrix-7/17/14. University of California, Santa Barbara TAG Eligibility is based on: • Complete minimum of 30 UC semester units by end of summer 2014 (excluding AP/IB units). • Complete one UC-required transferable math course and two UC-required English composition courses by the end of Fall 2014. • Earn an overall minimum 3.2 GPA in all UC transferable course work by the end of Fall 2014 and maintain a minimum overall 3.2 GPA through the end of Spring 2015. • Complete last 30 of 60 UC transferable semester units in residence at a California community college. • Complete at least 60 UC-transferable semester units(excluding AP/IB units) by the end of spring 2015 for fall 2015 with no more than 18 semester units in spring 2015 to reach this requirement. • College Letters & Sciences majors in the Biological Sciences, and Economics require completion of specific major preparatory course work. Major preparation articulation agreement including the minimum required community college courses can be found on www.assist.orgunder the “By Major” agreements between UCSB and CCC. Major Preparation requirements are subject to change without notice. University of California, Riverside TAG Eligibility is based on: • Complete 30 UC transferable semester units by end of summer 2014 • Complete the first UC required transferable English course & one UC required transferable Math course by end of fall 2014 and second UC transferable English course must be completed by end of spring 2015. • Earn the minimum required GPA for your intended major: (Must have the appropriate GPA by end of summer 2014) College of Humanities and Social Sciences 3.0 Bourns College of Engineering 3.1 and Major Preparation College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences 3.1and Major Preparation Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry and Neuroscience 3.2and Major Preparation School of Business Administration 3.0 and Major Preparation (SOBA-School of Business Administration requires completion of IGETC (Option3) • Complete at least 60 semester (90 quarter) UC transferable units with the required GPA by end of spring 2015. • Complete required coursework for the major: www.assist.org& UCR TAG INFO • Click-UCR TAG INFO Information take from UC TAG Matrix.-7/1/14.Subject to change & most current TAG criteria refer to individual UC website

University of California, Merced TAG Eligibility is based on: • Enrolled full time at a California community college • (Contact Admissions about exceptions for part-time students) • International students must also meet the English proficiency requirements for UC Merced. • Complete at least 30 UC transferable semester units by the end of summer 2014 • First UC required transferable English course and one UC required transferable math course must be completed by end of Fall 2014. Second UC transferable English course must be completed by end of spring 2015. • GPA as follows: All majors in School of Natural Sciences: 2.9 All majors in School of Engineering: 3.0 All majors in School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts: 2.8 Psychology: 3.0 • Complete 60 UC transferable units by the end of the spring 2015 term including required coursework for the major UCM-Linkandwww.assist.org. • No unrepeated grade(s) of "No Pass", "D" or "F" in UC-transferable coursework. No more than two total withdraws in major preparation courses. By the spring 2015 applicants can have no more than one major preparation course where grades of No Pass, D or F were received even if repeated with passing grades. University of California, Irvine TAG Eligibility is based on the following: • Completed 30 semester UC-transferable units by the end of the summer 2014 term for fall 2015 admission • Earned an overall minimum GPA of 3.4 in all UC-transferable coursework by the end of the summer 2014 for fall 2015 admission and will maintain GPA of 3.4 in all UC-transferable courseworkthrough Spring 2015. • Completed one UC required transferable math course & one UC required transferable English course with a grade of C or better by the end of the summer 2014 term. (Second UC required transferable English course must be completed by spring 2015) • Complete 60 UC-transferable semester units by the end of spring 2015 for fall 2015 admission • Complete the last 30 semester or 45 quarter units at a California community college by the end of the spring 2015 term. • Complete required coursework and any additional GPA requirements set for the major-Please refer to UCI website for major requirements: UCI TAG INFO & www.assist.org to meet the minimum GPA and course prerequisites for specified major. • Majors that Do Not Participate in the TAG Program: Business Administration, Dance, Music, and Nursing Science Click-UCI TAG INFO Information take from UC TAG Matrix-7/17/14.   15. REMEMBER AT ALL TIMES… TAG is only one path to admission to a UC campus. You can still apply to a UC campus as a non-TAG applicant during the November application cycle even if you are not eligible to apply for a TAG in September. Your application will be reviewed with the entire application pool as long as you meet UC requirements.

Use TAP(Transfer Admission Planner) to TAG Transfer Admission Planner is a transfer tool which can be used by all transfer students, however, it is also where students go to complete and submit the UC TAG application. Create UC TAP Account It is important to create a TAP account as soon as possible especially if you are qualified to apply as a TAG applicant in September 2014. Once you have created your individual TAP account you should input all the appropriate information in order to be ready to submit your TAG application beginning September 1-30, 2014.

What’s • September 1-30, 2014: UC TAG Application Filing Period • Students who choose UCSC or UCD as their TAG campus will need to make an appointment to meet with the OCC TAG counselor in order to verify their TAG application prior to submission. (Appointments can be made by contacting OCC Transfer Center) • November 1-15,2014: Students will be notified by November 15, 2014 about their TAG decision. • NOTE: When your TAG is approved, fulfill all remaining coursework and GPA requirements in your TAG agreement through Spring 2015. • November 1-30,2014:Students will still need to submit general UC application, as well as personal statement. Please make sure you answer the TAG question on the application. • January 2015: Submit Fall 2014 grades by logging into the individual UC application account and completing the Transfer Academic Update. • Please REMEMBER once TAG is approved, fulfill all remaining coursework and GPA requirements in your TAG agreement through Spring 2015.

Transfer Admission Guarantee(TAG) • How do I get more information about TAG? • Attend a TAG workshop at Orange Coast College Transfer Center --OCC Workshop Link • Please research the UC campuses and identify which campuses you are interested in and look into the individual UC campus website for more information. • Also look into ASSIST to identify lower division major requirements. • Visit the Transfer Center at Orange Coast during walk-in hours for additional questions or to discuss your eligibility. • If you are interested in making an individual counseling appointment with OCC TAG counselor to discuss your individual eligibility, please answer questions on the following slide, print it out and bring it to the Transfer Center in order to make your individual counseling appointment. • Contact the Transfer Center at Orange Coast College to meet with a UC representative in the Fall 2014 semester to discuss your eligibility.
