5. Melt out of ice Abandonment of outwash plain leads to one of two situations.
No Kettle holes or,
The production of Kettle holes depending on whether the ice melts out before or after the abandonment happens.
6. Large amounts of ice. If there are large amounts of abandoned ice then the resulting landform is known as Kame and kettle topography.
7. Hummocky Moraine Groups of steep sided hillocks.
Glacial drift.
Formed by dead ice wasting.
Transverse to orientation of valley.
8. Melt water factor. Sudden release of flood water can push large chuncks of glacial ice downstream.
