  1. LIT CLUB(Literature Club) This slide show highlights every thing you need to know about LIT Club at Ridgefield High Presented by Amy Hellrigel Project 8 Wednesday, May 18, 2011

  2. Why Join LIT Club? “Never judge a book by its movie.”~J.W. Eagan This my friends is a very good question… In this day and age there are so many ways to amuse ourselves; television, cellphones, videogames, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. All of these new forms of entertainment are electronically based. Which in some ways is good and in some ways is bad. With all this new technology we are able to keep in touch with our friends more easily, whether they are down the street or half way across the world. But this technology also has draw backs. You see many teens place these electronic forms of entertainment above reading. Just Check out this graph.

  3. What is LIT Club all about?“Books - the best antidote against the marsh-gas of boredom and vacuity.”~George Steiner Here at LIT Club we are dedicated to broadening your literary experience. You will read and discuss books, poems, short stories, even song lyrics with friends. All the while enhancing your vocabulary, and reading skills without even knowing it. You might be asking yourself why is this so important. Reading is how we discover new things and learn without meaning to. Books are the most patient of teachers. If you don’t understand something they will repeat it over and over again until you do. They are an escape, an adventure, and the best part of LIT Club is that you get to share whatever you discover with friends.
