  2. Aroga • Description: • The company motto is to Live, Learn, See, Communicate • 23 yrs in the running • Strive to meet the needs of Clients • Claim to be Canadas Premier assistive technology retailer through: lifetime tech support, price matching, and extended product warranty

  3. Product: World of Sport Examined • This is an interactive computer program which looks at the human body and how it works in sporting actions. For example, you want to know what muscles work in a jump shot. The program will focus on every body system utilized in this action through assignments, questions, and other methods. • Classroom Implementation • Through group work, I will have students analyze a certain action within a sport, lets say a corner kick in soccer. With the program, they will work through the different games, quizzes, questions etc. and then spend one class actually performing the skill. As a way of assessing I would use normative written exam and ask questions related to the skill of corner kicks.

  4. Value? • This product would be very valuable in a classroom because it gets the students to focus on how the body is performing these skills, rather than just the quality of the physical skill. I could see this product supporting physical literacy with in PE classrooms of all ages.

There is auditory and visual feed, enabling students to get a great sense of who they are interacting with. Its face to face interaction.

  8. Classroom Implementation • With in a PE classroom, 1 day every 2 weeks could be designated to interacting with students around the globe. I would collaborate with teacher first via email and decide on topic or topics for the day and give students time to prepare. • Value • Technology has the potential to keep students motivated in a classroom, this also gives them a great opportunity to experience different educational culture around the globe. I believe that the stakes are higher because they are teaching other people, which keeps the students more engaged, and can take them out of their comfort zones.

Mad possible by a grant-in-aid from alberta education to the alberta library. It also has the potential to increase engagement from students, and create a more mindful atmosphere for PE because they have to reflect on it in their portfolios.
