  4. What are we trying to achieve? • Aircraft that perform reliably in service. • Improved aircraft ‘availability’. • Improvements to the bottom line.

  5. Harvesting and analysis of maintenance and flight data • Allows us to provide access to ‘smart data’ to make better, more robust decisions (solutions) quickly. • Repeat defect analysis identifies problems either with the ‘solutions’ previously used or the maintenance regime. • Identify early signs of system/component performance degradation and act.

  6. Active management of aircraft serviceability during operations • Planning led organisation. • Robust actions plans for all known defects. • FIMs.

  7. Smart maintenance planning. • Maximise the ‘maintenance opportunities’. • Optimise the maintenance programme. • ‘Smart’ maintenance planning.
