What’s the pathway to getting a degree after BTEC? • BTEC level 5 HND is widely recognised as equivalent to one or two years of university education • The majority of BTEC HND graduates are fast-tracked to the second or third year of a degree course at a wide range of leading universities worldwide • BTECs can also be taken with A levels or national qualifications • Each university has a different entry requirement depending on the course subject – so graduates should check their preferred university entry requirements to ensure that their grades reflect the points required. Progression Plus • Launched in January 2013, Progression Plus is a support service from Pearson that helps students know what they can do with their qualification and provides advice on how to accomplish their goals • Progression Plus works with key partner institutions around the world to develop seamless progression opportunities for Pearson learners • All our partner universities are featured in our Degree Course Finder, which holds the details of all articulation (progression) pathways, entry points and entry criteria. It’s accessible to thousands of learners in the UK and overseas, as well as our centres and regional staff • We regularly run webinars on informative topics such as “Advice on studying in the US” and “Advice on the UCAS application process”.
