2. Cosmetics and Your Eyes Our eyes are our most expressive feature, so it is only natural to want to emphasize them. there is no harm in using eye makup, as long as you observe some commonsense rules about the use of eye cosmetics .

3. * Never use anyone else his cosmetics. The mascara may belong to your best friend , but do not use it . First , infections are transmitted in this way , and second , you may find that yo allergic to her particular brand of eye makeup .

4. * Avoid using old eye cosmetics . If you wear eye makeup regularly, you will probably use it up before it can cause problems. But if you wear eye makeup only for holidays and special occasions , you should be aware that old eye makeup can become contaminated. So throw it away to avoid any chance of infection .

5. *Try to test new cosmetics before using them .if you tend to have allergic reactions to cosmetics ,look for products that are advertised as being hypoallergenic . Although none of these

6. products can claim to be 100 percent free of allerge - causing substances , you may be able to avoid the particular ingredients that bother you .Purchase only a small amount or ,if possible get afree sample and try it . If you do experience an allergic reaction , discontinue using the product immediately.

7. *Apply eye makeup carefully and properly. When applying mascara or eyeliner,always keep the cosmetice out of the eye itself. You can do this by applying mascara only the uoter tow - thirds the lashes; do not start at the roots of the lashes. Similarly ,never apply eyelid margins :use it only above the lower lid.Take care not to apply eye makeup hastily, or you may run the

8. risk of accidentally poking yourself in the eye, causing an infection or even damage to the cornea. If you use contact lenses, insert them befor applying cosmetics and remove them befor you remove the makeup. Contact lens wearers should also avoid using frosted eyeshadow .The iridescent particles can flake, get in the eyes,and attach themselves to the contact lens, causing enough friction to seratch the cornea.

9. *Other cosmetic hazards .Try to avoid getting shampoos and other products for the hair in to the eyes. Be esbecially careful to shield your eyes when using hair spray.
