  2. The “all you can eat” buffet is a popular option offered by many restaurants. If you keep track of what you eat, it can be a decent deal.

  3. 1. Avoid going to the buffet by starving yourself.

  4. 3. Take small portions. If the buffet has unlimited refills, you can always go and take some. You don’t want to be stuck with a large serving of food that doesn’t taste as good as it looks. 4. Keep a tab on the starch. Inexpensive and filling foods like potatoes, rice, pasta, and bread are served in restaurants in the hope that you will eat a lot of them. This will leave less room for the more expensive options. 5. Pick foods you don’t cook at home. Go for foods that you won’t normally cook at home. Let’s say grilled trout with sautéed mushrooms, fresh mangoes, and papaya, smoked salmon, etc.

  5. 6. Eat slowly and don’t overeat. It is a tough one but you will suffer if you lose control of what you eat at a buffet. You can drink some herbal tea or take a probiotic capsule. Sit still for a few minutes. Take a deep breath and wait for a minute or two and think if you are feeling full or still hungry. If you are hungry, you can always go back for a refill. 7. Be choosy. This is the time to have some control over self. Try to stay vigilant of foods that are high in calories and fat. The challenge is to have foods that are good for you. If there is a wide selection, you can do it. Make sure to keep foods with high calories within limits.If you are gulping down on soft drinks and munching on French fries, bear in mind that you are actually abusing the buffet experience.

Desserts for the sweet tooth The most hazardous aspect of a buffet meal is the desserts, even though they are often served in small servings. Some people are adamant about trying each and every one. (Bad move.) The calories from fat and sugar can be tremendous. Even if you have failed up until this point, this is the most crucial time to learn self-control.If you're having trouble digesting, try some frozen yogurt or, if you're craving something sweet, some fresh fruit.
