Self-introduction • Born in 1970 • BSc 1992, Computer Science, University of Kuopio • MSc 1994, Computer Science, University of Kuopio • PhD 1999, Information Technology, Lappeenranta University of Technology • Academic posts at Lappeenranta University of Technology and and University of Joensuu since 1995 • Currently working as Senior Assistant (teaching and research) • 1996 visiting Linköping University, Dr. Reiner Lenz lab (1 month) • 1996 - 1998 visiting Saitama University, Prof. Toyooka lab. • 2000 Project manager of color research project in Joensuu funded by EU regional structural fund • 2002 visiting Chiba University, Prof. Miyake lab (2 months) • 2002 From August 1, Acting Processor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Joensuu • Hobbies: Aikido, cross-country ski, quitar, hunting, ice swimming
