  • The very first middle college was established in 1976 at LaGuardia Community College in New York

  • Kettering High School will be the initial location of the DAHMCHS, beginning September 2007.

    • Students will attend a high school on a college campus

    • 9th and 10th grade students begin in a high school environment with strong focus on literacy

    • Transition classes are offered during the 9th and 10th grades

    • In the next phase, students will attend actual college classes where only one third of class will be high school students
