  • NAHC is an Affordable Housing provider that influences policy, adds to research and plans for long term opportunities for its business and its partners business outcomes
  • NAHC contributes to academic and policy development, including a strong association with Bond University which completed an economic review of NRAS impacts in December 2013 finding that upon completion, 329,000 FTE jobs will have been created and Governments will receive a $9Billion return on their NRAS investment
  • NAHC was a member of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute’s special investigative panel on Institutional Investment and has engaged Government and the Opposition in practical policy options for achieving this policy outcome agreed via COAG.
  • NAHC sponsors a national industry committee with major institutional stakeholders to progress affordable housing investment.
  • Current policy work includes
    • Seeking policy buy-in to achieve institutional investment at scale into affordable rental housing by 2018
    • Improving housing pathways with Shared Equity Home Ownership and Rent to Buy options
