  1. About Me: Alyssa Crawford

  2. Basics I’m twenty years old and a junior Social Science Education major. I have two jobs: one as a library assistant on campus, and the other as a night admissions representative at LCH, admitting patients in the ER. I’ve lived in Lindsborg for most of my life, attending second through twelfth grade in USD 400. However, I spent my early childhood in the Clay Center area and in southwest Kansas.

  3. My Family My dad, Pat, recently retired from the National Guard after serving for 20 years and is currently the Director of Maintenance at Lindsborg Community Hospital. My mom, Kandis, is a 7th and 8th grade special education teacher at SVMS. My brother, Austin, is a senior at SVHS, with hopes of majoring in photo media/graphic design at KU.

  4. Interests Being a Social Science Education major, I obviously enjoy studying history, but my other favorite subjects include English and Spanish. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, visiting friends, spending time outdoors, being involved in my church, and traveling with family.

  5. My Favorite Place

  6. Travel I’ve been fortunate enough to travel across the United States, and I have visited Europe twice. I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures. I studied at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England this past summer. My favorite travel spots so far, include: New York City, Washington D.C., San Francisco, London, Paris, Edinburgh, and Stockholm. I hope to do much more traveling in the future!

  7. Career Aspirations I hope to either teach Social Studies at the middle school or high school level. In addition, I would like to obtain an ESL endorsement. After teaching for a few years, I would like to begin working on a master’s degree in history.
