MIRS & CZYC: • Context: • MIRS (WP4.7) & CZYC (WP4.8) are part of Work Package 4 (Establish the northwest Europe coastal resource centre). • Aims: • provide information about coastal and marine environments of North West Europe for different targets, • use Internet technology > portal websites. Methodology: • Partners: • we used questionnaires to ask their opinions; aims, information, functions and components. • Journalists & Educational: • we will conduct interviews to ask the end-users their requirements. • Design: • we use technology provided by University of Aberdeen: • Dreamweaver, Php, MySQL Database , Photoshop. Aims • Media Information Resource System (MIRS): • is designed for Journalists interested by brief and accurate information such as press releases. • Coastal Zone Youth Club (CZYC): • is a website for accessing educational information (primary, secondary and higher). MIRS, CZYC & CoastWeb • CoastWeb: • is a coastal and marine portal design for professionals, • provides online library, news and information about Corepoint. • Websites complement each other: • MIRS, CZYC and CoastWeb have different targets, • there are no conflict with these 3 websites, • we will provide a link to CoastWeb on the home pages. Conclusion • We defined the aims of the projects with the help of the Partners. • We will conduct interviews to identify the requirement of the end-user • We will provide a detailed report with the design specifications and templates of the websites.
