  4. Job Outlook The BLS predicts a promising outlook for these jobs – between 22% and 24% increase by the year 2020. This is around 8% better than the national average. Image: commons.wikimedia.org

  5. Expected Salary As stated by CareerOneStop, environmental technicians on average make $44,800 per year. However, they explain that the engineers who actually create/develop the devices for environmental control can make an average of $79,100.
