State Committee • As a result of the survey we will not proceed with pursuing a sponsor until 2011 • Will move ahead with education and communication among members to decide best action • Anyone is welcome to join the Michigan Licnesure Committee • Rob Smereka is Captain
AAPM Board Action • Administrative Council decision to pursue licensing legislation for 2011 budget in Mass. And Penn. Because they have sponsors for their bills and are nearly ready. • The three other states status will be reviewed before the 2012 budget decision.
ACMP • AAPM agreed to the assumption of the core function of ACMP into AAPM • Will be a budget neutral result • More information on AAPM website
CRCPD (Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors) • Working with AAPM on a qualified medical physicist registry • All board certified medical physicists that work in the United States based on information from certifying boards • AAPM will share cost with CRCPD
QMPR • Independent verification of QMP • Single location for ABR, ABMP, CCPM • Free access • Quick, paperless verification, updated frequently • Will not provide state specific requirements • Will not track CEUs
