  1. October 22 Urban Stakeholder Committee Peter Brostrom Water Use and Efficiency Branch California Department of Water Resources

  2. Actions Items from October 14th and 15th • Conduct Baseline Sensitivity Analysis • Use 10-year baseline with 2005 results • Use 10-year baseline with 2000 midpoint • Change the calculator to allow different midpoint years • Look at the geographic representation of the random sample • Consider using a scalar or multiplier rather than adding percentage for the adjustment factor

  3. Action Items cont. • Consider using sewer flows to verify or determine indoor residential • Document the methodology DWR will use to determine progress towards 20x 2020 • Consider allowing an appeals process

  4. Work completed • Ran the BMP calculator for 9 more sample agencies • Completed a baseline sensitivity analysis for 2005 midpoint • Ran additional example targets for DWR II • Have calculated BMP savings reductions using both the multiplier and percentage adjustment factor • Proposal on adjustment factor exemption to address undue hardship

  5. Proposed Statewide Adjustment Factor Exemption Suppliers who meet the following conditions would be exempt from the statewide adjustment requirement: Based on the BMP calculator • Have zero savings requirement for the following BMPs • Water loss • Metering • Landscape Budgets • And have less than 1 GPCD savings requirement for SF and MF toilets and residential showerheads
