  3. IT DOESN’T WORK!3 Major Hindrances Thinking there is a “key.” Expecting it to function on auto-pilot. Failure to elevate or purposefully de-valuing.

  5. Sabotage Principle • It is not possible to devalue any endeavor on one hand while expecting any significant degree of accomplishment on the other.

  6. Why Some Leaders Think Sunday School Does Not Work • Some have never had a healthy Sunday School experience themselves. • Some have never learned the principles of Sunday School growth.

W ants to GROW • Key Solutions • Pastoral leadership and staff buy-in. • Elevation of the Sunday School ministry. • Leadership Training. • Feed the “want to” through prayer, • prioritizing, preaching, praising, • and providing inspiration • and instruction.

O rganizes to GROW (Ministry) • Do you have classes for “all” age groups or life stages? • Do you have enough classes? • Do you have enough leaders? • Are you organized to maximize spiritual growth? • Do you organize based on who you want to reach rather than who attends?

It should be easy to get on the roll and hard to get off of the roll. • Through regular contact with all members. Measure contacts and develop care groups. • Through regular fellowship opportunities. Every class should have two or more to connect to members and reach out to prospects.
