  3. Hadith • “Allah divided Mercy into one-hundred parts and He kept its ninety-nine parts with Him and sent down its one part on the earth, and because of that, its one single part, His creations are Merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoofs away from its baby animal, lest it should trample on it.”

  4. Hadith • The Prophet (SAW) said, "Amongst the men of Bani Israel there was a man who had murdered ninety-nine persons. Then he set out asking whether his repentance could be accepted or not. He came upon a monk and asked him if his repentance could be accepted. The monk replied in the negative and so the man killed him.”

  5. Hadith (cont.) • “He kept on asking till a man advised to go to such and such village. (So he left for it) but death overtook him on the way. While dying, he turned his chest towards that village (where he had hoped his repentance would be accepted).”

  6. Hadith (cont.) • “The angels of mercy and the angels of punishment quarreled amongst themselves regarding him. Allah ordered the angels to measure the distances between his body and the two villages. So he was found to be one span closer to the village (he was going to). So he was forgiven."

  7. Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 30 • And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, - while we glorify You with praises and thanks and sanctify You." He (Allah) said: "I know that which you do not know."

  8. Hadith • "I know the last of the people of Hell who will be brought forth from it, and the last of the people of Paradise to enter it. It is a man who will come out of Hell crawling on all fours."

  9. Hadith (cont.) • Allah (SWT) will say to him, "Go and enter Paradise". So he will come to it and will suppose that it is full. He will go back and say, "My Rabb, I found it full".

  10. Hadith (cont.) • Allah (SWT) will say, "Go and enter Paradise for there you have something like the world and ten times over.”

  11. Hadith (cont.) • He will say to Allah (SWT), "Are you making fun of me - or laughing at me - and You are the Sovereign of all?"

  12. Hadith (cont.) • The Messenger of Allah (SAW) smiled widely at this time while narrating this Hadith. Sahabah asked why are you smiling? • "Because the Rabb of the Worlds will smile when He is asked, "Are You making fun of me when You are the Rabb of the Worlds?" He will say, "I am not making fun of you, but I am able to do whatever I will.”

  13. Hadith (cont.) • The Messenger of Allah (SAW) ended the Hadith by saying: "That is the one who is lowest in status of the people of Paradise".

  14. Hadith • Man came and said I have committed such and such sin – punish me. • Prophet said sit here • Time for prayer came and they prayed and Prophet was starting to leave • Man said punish me • He said your prayer washed away your sin

  15. Mercy of Allah (SWT) • Wudu washes away sins • Prayer to prayer washes away sins • Jummah to Jummah washes away a whole weeks worth of sins • Ramadan washes away a whole years worth of sins • Hajj washes away a whole life time of sins
