  3. Prereading Investigation • Step one- Investigate the information • There are 6 clues to look for when investigate a text. • Title • Main subject headings • Visuals • Bold Print Words • Questions • Other Features

  4. Return of the Wolves • Investigate the text with a partner • Look for clues to what the article is about. • Fill in the activity sheet with your partner.

  5. Question #1 • What is the title? _______________________________________ Based on the title, write (in your own words) what the passage is about. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  6. Question #2 • List the Main Subject Headings.____________________________________________________________________ • What clues do you have about the passage? What do you think it will focus on?____________________________________________________________________________

  7. Question #3 • Look at all the visuals (pictures, charts, graphs, maps, etc). List them here. • __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
