  1. 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting January 8th – January 28th

  2. “‘We have fasted before you!’ they say. ‘Why aren’t you impressed? We have been very hard on ourselves, and you don’t even notice it!’ “I will tell you why!” I respond. “It’s because you are fasting to please yourselves. Even while you fast, you keep oppressing your workers. What good is fasting when you keep on fighting and quarreling? This kind of fasting will never get you anywhere with me. You humble yourselves by going through the motions of penance, bowing your heads like reeds bending in the wind. You dress in burlap and cover yourselves with ashes. Is this what you call fasting? Do you really think this will please the LORD? “No, this is the kind of fasting I want: Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people. Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.” Isaiah 58:3-7 NLT

  3. 21 Days of Prayer – January 8th – 28th Join us every morning 6 days a week for prayer. Sunday Mornings from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the Theatre and Mon. – Fri. Mornings from 5:45 a.m. – 6:15 a.m. on Conference Call# (786) 233-6715, code 528152. Saturdays are ACTION DAYS! Feed someone that is hungry, visit someone that is lonely, serve someone in need, shelter someone that is homeless, give transportation to someone that is in need, etc. SERVE SOMEONE ELSE and get your whole family involved. Regarding Fasting Restrictions (dietary and etc.), there are NONE. Seek God (and your physician if necessary) about what is appropriate for you and whatever you commit to, KEEP IT, and consider intensifying it each week. Some examples of Fast Restrictions are: no sweets (refined sugar) and fried foods, only water as a beverage (anything else is excluded), only fruits and vegetables (no meat or dairy products), eliminating 1, 2, 3, or all your meals in a day, no TV or social media for a while, and many other examples exist. Remember the focus is not our Fasting Restrictions, but it’s about INTENTIONALLY MOVING CLOSER TO GOD.

  4. Nuggets for a Good Prayer & Fasting Experience • Schedule times of prayer and to read/study the Bible throughout the course of each day. Treat those times as sacred. • Put a BLOCK on any would be distractions. • Don’t ignore problem areas in your life and thinking. Submit them unto God. • Don’t make it all about you and the dietary/lifestyle restrictions. Whatever restrictions you do apply, use that new available free time to MOVE CLOSER TO GOD through prayer and study of the Word. • Have something with you at all times to write/record inspirations that come to you. • Don’t allow yourself to get drawn into strife, arguments, or tension with anyone. • Be INTENTIONAL about helping and blessing others.
