    2. Founding Father Fermin Lasuen is the person who found the Mission. It was found on June 11, 1797. It was the 14th Mission on the Mission chain. It was named after Saint Joseph.

    3. Location The mission is found in Fremont. It is near Fremont and Hayward. There was a specific reason it was built it was built to change the Indians culture.

    4. Daily Life There was a choir in the church. There was jobs like getting the water from the well, cooking, hunting, and preparing for church. The Indians did all the work. Everybody went to church services.

    5. Problems Part of the Mission was destroyed by an earthquake and was not rebuilt. There were no robberies or scandals at the Mission.

    6. The Mission Today There are cemetery and there are artifacts. Tourists can still visit it. The Mission looks like a big house. The church is sometimes used for worshipping.

    7. Interesting Facts There is one is interesting story about the mission that only part of the mission was destroyed by the earthquake. Mission San Jose is the only one east of San Francisco Bay, earthquake destroyed church. What we found interesting is the earthquake destroyed the church.
