  3. Training • Training focuses on submissions without strikes. • Techniques are practiced against a non-resisting partner. • Physical conditioning is trained through full-speed practice.

  4. Competition • Competition is either point based or submission based. • There is a gi division or no-gi division. • Practitioners are separated by weight classes
