  3. Removal of hot items • Removal of hot items from the worksites: • TCSC removed first and brought to B.955 • 3 splitter2 magnets and 2 MDLV removed and stored in TDC2 • Various beam monitors, BLM and vacuum beam pipes

  4. Removal of hot items: storage area = forbidden area 3 splitter2 magnets 2 MDLV magnets

  5. Splitter area • First removal of splitter magnets in TDC2 since mid seventies • Some trouble due to floor imperfecti-ons

  6. MDLV & beam pipes • About 100 m beam pipes removed • Make free the splitter storage area • Make free the area where heavy duty works will take place

  7. Beam instrumentation ALARA L3 Committee

  8. Chilled water pipes & coils removal • About200 m DN 200 insulated pipe have been dismantled • Asbestos successfullyhandled as expected. • CoolingcoilsalsoremovedfromAHU’s • Cabinet (40 yearsold) quite in good shape • Radioactive waste management ALARA L3 Committee

  9. Secondary beam line vacuum maintenance • Exchange of the oil in all the vacuum pumps. • Installation of 4 new vacuum pumps • PVSS control check • Leakdetection • Pressure gauge check (recalibrationneeded no leakinthe M2 line) • New platform for relocation of the 2 M2 line vacuum pumps(betteraccess) ALARA L3 Committee

  10. Civil Engineering: repair of the TDC2 roof joints • 2 joints have been fitted with a metallic gutter driving water and bitumen to 3 retention boxes. TDC2WG#31

  11. Civil Engineering: drain network maintenance • Vallier checked all the manholes and inspection chambers • High pressure cleaning • Cleaning water collected and RP checked before disposal • Sludge treated as radioactive waste ALARA L3 Committee

  12. Civil Engineering: variousrepairs • New, extension of, repair to water collecting gutters • Exchange of all remaining PVC pipes by PE pipes • New drain connection • Removal of all wood items by steel plates (trenches for cabling purpose) ALARA L3 Committee

  13. Safety system upgrade • Relocation and exchange of the Fire extinguishers • New evacuation path layout and signals put accordingly • Guided tour with the Fire Brigade ALARA L3 Committee

  14. Heavy handling equipment • PR544 maintenance and test • Power supply rail inspected: some corrective actions needed (due to verybrittle plastic insulation) ALARA L3 Committee

  15. Magnet upgrade • One manifold dismounted (ref 12) in order to estimate time needed for exchange • Cooling flexible replacement in progress in TDC2 • 12 DC cable joints to bereplaced (seeYvan’s talk) ALARA L3 Committee

  16. Beam line survey • 12 concrete blocks 800*800*800 to be removed • Openings towards TT81 and TT82 • Measurement of all the beam line equipment • Including XTAX tables once roof shielding is removed • Up to targets ALARA L3 Committee

  17. Cabling EN-EL schedule • 31/3 WDP assessment for Alara level • 31/3-21/4 preparation Dry Run presentation • 22/4 Dry Run discussion within CF Section • 28/4 ENTM Dry Run • 12/5 Alara Committee (if the study confirms to be a level III) ALARA L3 Committee
