  3. We’re Cutting Back On Paper! • Reports advanced before meetings • New Webpage for documentation • Saving $$$ by printing hard copy only for the voting members of the Board of Trustees

  4. MOTIONS • Board Meetings • Motion Book Created Motions Displayed on big screen for easier reading To expedite the search for motions. Each motion will be numbered in the Minutes and duplicated in the Motion Book

  5. Updates • Contract for Cleve Parker • A three-year extension contract was signed by 2007-2008 Lt. Governor Class President Cindy Crowther as per the motion made by the 2007-2008 Board of Trustees on August 15, 2008. •  Motion by Div 5 and second by 20M • “no member can be assigned, appointed or elected to any more than one office or District Chair in any year” referred to the Administration Committee for further study •  Month End Reports • Just a reminder to send in your month end reports.

  8. Congratulations! • Lt. Governor Dennis Varga of Division 17 wins the Governor’s Challenge Award for the 1st Club to be built during the month of October. • Dennis will receive $750 towards expenses to travel to the Kiwanis Int’l Convention in Nashville TN Lt. Gov. Dennis Varga Division 17

  11. And the “not so good” news is… • OUR NUMBERS • ARE DOWN • At the end of October • 2008 we have • Lostanother 269members • WHY? WE HAVE A REASON TO GROW! IT’S FOR THE KIDS!

  12. Outreach Reserve Fund • Mailed letters to every club asking for a $50-$100 donation to the fund. So far $860 has been received. • Thanks to • Kiwanis Clubs of Peninsula-Portland • Ross Island Early-risers • Greater Tacoma • Oliver ($500)

  13. Build One New Club •  Lt. Governor must have achieved a “Gold” or higher level award •  75% of Division Clubs must be Charter Strength or higher Governor’s Challenge DIVISIONAward TAKE THE CHALLENGE! YOU CAN DO IT!
