My Trip to Lansing, Michigan By: Anna Coyer
My favorite part was The History Museum • I loved all the detail and how big the elevator was. Our docent said “It is the biggest elevator in Michigan! “ Isn’t that amazing! We learned lumbering was very popular. The people who worked there got $0.50 per day. At that time that was a lot! That was my favorite part in the History Museum.
What I learned • If you worked at Ford’s Car factory you would get paid $5.00 a week! At that time you would be half way rich! We also saw a huge White Pine growing in the building! Luckily it is surrounded by glass. The mining people used hand tools instead of electric tools.
The Bus Ride • On the bus ride to Lansing I played on my tablet. On the bus ride back I took turns playing on Gillian’s Dsi. I played Dogz. It was very fun. When we got back I went to the class and we all got maps of Michigan.
