  3. Mythology • Mythology is a word to describe the study of myth. • “Ology” means “the study of in Latin.” What other words can you think of that end in “ology?”

  4. Creation Myths • Creation Myths are stories developed by people from ancient cultures around the world to help them explain things like how the earth, the heavens, man, animals and plants were created.

  5. Archetypes • People who study mythology have noticed that there are many reoccuringthemes, ideas and characters in myths from different cultures. These are called archetypes.
