1. Adverbios • Adverbs are used to describe, or modify, verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. Karen eats slowly (slowly is used to describe how she eats) Most Spanish adverbs are formed by adding –mente to the femenine form of a singular adjective. This is the equivalent to -ly in English.

6. When two adverbs modify the same verb, only the second one uses the -mente ending.
