Current Happenings *Curriculum maps have been aligned to CCSS for grades K-6 (including essential questions, vocabulary and our Math Expressions resource) *Differentiated, individualized instruction *Strong homework component K-12 *Collecting pre and post test data to show growth K-6 *Online resources, and technology used in instruction continue to grow K-12 *Continued analysis of WKCE results *MAP assessments piloted K-12 *Core Content Read-Alouds 6-8

Interventions: • Before, during and after school math support 6-12 • Math Foundations class 6 – 8 (previewing and accelerating core content) • Inclusion classes team-taught with special education teachers • Intervention and tutoring at the elementary level based upon student needs • Enrichment • 7th and 8th grade Algebra, 8th grade Geometry • Accelerated Advanced Algebra, CITS Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus • Elementary resource offers challenge opportunities at each grade level

Next Steps… • Continue work on implementing various literacy strategies (Read-alouds, writing in the content area, math talk) • Continue researching different ways to bring technology into the classroom (Activboards, slates, document cameras, etc.) • MAP testing 2-12 • Embed literacy components to math curriculum maps • Build a team of teacher leaders in mathematics (K-5)
