  1. 19-11 Effects of Meter Resistance It is important to know the sensitivity of your meter, because its resistance can effect the outcome of the measurement. If the resistance of the voltmeter is higher than the circuit, then it will draw little of the current and not affect the accuracy as much. See Example 19-14 p578
