Previously, Anil served as the Managing Director of D.E. Shaw & Co India, heading the group's private equity activities in India. He was instrumental in negotiating the widely-publicized JV with Reliance Industries in 2011. Prior to this, he was Managing Director at GE India. In his tenure of 10 years at GE between 1996 -2006, he held several key positions including CEO of GE Commercial Finance - India and South East Asia.
