  1. The Mailman School looking for photos of public health. Upload your photos by July 19 and your picture could be featured in the inaugural issue of the Mailman School's annual magazine!

The Group We invite you to join Columbia Public Health Around The World • Share your photos and help us celebrate the various ways that members of the Mailman School community work to improve the health of people in our backyard and around the world.  • This new Flickr™ group has been set up as a space for members of the School community to share snapshots that depict public health in the making, focusing on two themes – “making a mark” and “what drives/inspires me.”

  3. How Does It Work? • Share your photos with our online community by uploading your picture and caption. • Log on • Join the group • Send your image & caption to the group • Tag your image

  4. Log On • Not a member of Flickr? • To submit your photos via Flickr™, use your Yahoo!® ID to login to www.flickr.com. If you do not have an account, you can sign-up for free. • Upload images you want to share with the group and others.

  5. Join the Group Send the Image to Our Group • Submit an image that you have already uploaded to your Flickr account by using the "Send to Group" function above the image. This will add it to the Columbia Around the World photo pool. Upload your photo by July 18 and it could be featured in Mailman’s annual magazine!

  6. Add Your Images • Once added to the group add your images to the group. • Please be sure to include a caption that indicates where and when the photo was taken and include information on the subject.

  7. Tag it! • Once added to the group, tag each photo that you wish to submit with either MakingMark or MyInspiration, depending on the topic by selecting "tag" feature in the right-hand column of the individual photo's page. MakingMark or MyInspiration

  8. Connect with Us Look for a message from us via FlickrMail, welcoming you into the community and sharing additional information about the magazine.

  9. Photo Rights and Permissions • You will retain all rights to any photograph you submit — including ownership if applicable — other than those rights licensed in the next sentence. • By submitting your photo to our Columbia Public Health Around the World effort, you hereby grant to The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York (“Columbia”) and to Columbia’s affiliates or others acting with authority from Columbia • a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute and publicly display the photographs you submit to Columbia Public Health Around the World Flickr group, and • photographers must have sufficient permission of any recognizable persons or other items appearing in the photograph and be able to grant right to Columbia to display their photograph. • Submission to Columbia Public Health Around the World Flickr group is acceptance of these guidelines, and also indicates that you have obtained such permission as necessary.
