  1. A Separate Peaceby John Knowles Pre-Reading

  2. Regret • We read “The Scarlet Ibis,” a flashback story about regret. Think about a time in your life to which you would like to return and do things over. • Write a paragraph describing that time. What would you change if you could? What complications might arise if you changed anything about the situation?

  3. Read this poem by A. E. Housman.Write a paragraph to explain it. Into my heart an air that kills From yon far country blows: What are those blue remembered hills, What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content, I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went And cannot come again.
