Where does milk for cheese come from?

  2. Today, you will receive a brief background on each cheese and then we will sample them together, one at a time, in a specific order. We will share our thoughts on each cheese and then vote for the best and worst at the end!

  3. Brie de Meaux Known as the “queen of cheeses” Meaux= the town where it is made Cow’s milk, ripens for 6-8 weeks You can eat the white rind

  4. Boucheron Loire valley Goat’s milk Ripens in 5-10 weeks

  5. OssauIraty Southwest France, Basque country One of only 2 sheep’s milk cheeses with AOC status Raw, unpasteurized sheep’s milk Aged for 90 days (12 weeks)

  6. Morbier Named after the town of Morbier Cow’s milk, layer of ash in the middle Aged for 60 days (8 weeks)

  7. Bleu d’Auvergne Massif central Cow’s milk Aged about 4 weeks

  8. Pont l’Évêque Basse-Normandie region of France Cow’s milk Milk must come from controlled area around the town of Pont l’Évêque Aged 2-6 weeks
