  3. Who are we? • We are a diverse clinic system: • 9 Rural Health Clinics • All Family Practices • 7 Non-Rural Specialty Clinics • General Surgery • Orthopaedic Surgery • Podiatry • Pain Management • Eye Clinic • Endocrinology

  4. Our Timeline for Implementation • December 2002 • Scheduling Appointments and Ordering Labs directly into the hospital departments • All clinic locations LIVE the same day. • June 2003 • Clinic Scheduling and Billing. • Beginning of a Fiscal Year • All clinic locations LIVE the same day.

  5. Our EAR Implementation • 15 Practices and a Version upgrade in 18 months. • First Clinic went LIVE March 29, 2005. • Pilot Clinic was the Physician Champion and EAR Team Leader’s clinic. • Modules were implemented in the “Big Bang Approach”.

  17. Days in AR In the system we used prior to LSS, our days in AR hovered around 85, with no end in sight… Once we started using LSS we were relieved to see our days drop and maintain at a reasonable number. Currently as of Monday November 6th, we are at:

  18. Reporting Capabilities • Automating Paper Processes • Vaccines for Children Inventory • Lab Logs • Compiling Clinical Data • Children eligible to receive RSV vaccine • Pain Scale Capturing/Reporting

  19. Productivity This provider went LIVE 8/17/06. His productivity was 3.5 per hour prior to his Go Live, and in one month he was consistently reaching 3.5 again.

  20. Health Maintenance We are in the process of building Health Maintenance and Disease Management standards based on DOQ-IT measures, CDC immunization guidelines, and other recognized standards of care.

  21. Provider using standard laptop and a cart. Nurse using lightweight, touch screen laptop.

  22. Nurse using a tablet. Before Go Live Currently packing up charts.
