  6. Conclusion • Prioress: ranked below the head of a convent . He’s necessary in a catholic society, but ranked lower. • Monk: he is rank will differ from before its lower now. (he use to play an important role in the catholic church but not anymore). • Friar: he is either ranked poor or middle class and his job today will be a traveling priest. • Clerk: During the Canterbury Tales the Parson would be ranked as a low class since he was barely able to make a living. Today the Parson would be ranked at a middle class due to the available opportunities for his education.
