This research investigates the nature of diradical intermediates involved in the [1,3] carbon migrations of bicyclic and tricyclic vinylcyclobutanes. By examining the mechanisms and pathways of these migrations, we seek to gain deeper insights into the reactivity and stability of diradicals. This study employs experimental techniques and theoretical calculations to elucidate the role of diradicals in these transformations, contributing to a better understanding of complex organic reactions.
