4. The End of World War 1 • On the 11/11/1918 at 11 o’ clock at night, WWI ends as Germany and their allies signed a truce. • Despite this truce, the war technically kept on without an end until 1945.

5. Effects of the War • There was a lot of emotional hardships that resulted from World War 1. Family members were fallen from almost every country.

6. Other Effects of the War • The war caused many fatal tragedies (ie. Hunger, famine, economy failure.) • As mentioned above, family members were lost. The results that of the war left 9 million soldiers dead. • Nationalism (form of patriotism based upon nation) rose due to the ending of 4 major empires.

7. Germans Seek Revenge • The Germans felt that they were successful on the battlefield and wanted to seek revenge. They wanted to show to the world that they were great.

8. Who Could Lead the Germans? • The Germans sought revenge, and wanted to prove that they were great. The only question was; who was a proving enough leader that would help them. Eventually, they found their answer.

9. Adolf Hitler • Adolf Hitler rose to power through an election in 1933. Hitler’s controversial viewpoints brainwashed, in a sense, the hurting German people. Little did they know, he was about to ignite the Second World War.

10. Germany Bombs Poland • Adolf Hitler’s dictatorship gave him the authority to bomb Poland in 1939 which started World War II.

11. Conclusion • After World War I ended, there were many negative effects. 9 million soldiers were left dead, economies around the globe were hit hard, and people were left in hunger. Germany, feeling many of those effects, turned to Adolf Hitler to lead them out of their economic failures. The German people were easily swayed by Hitler’s viewpoints because they were going through such a massive crisis. Lastly, Hitler bombed Poland in 1939 making WWII on its way.
