WKCE: What lies ahead? • 2012: Field testing begins for cut scores based on National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scale scores • Fall 2012: WKCE will be given, NAEP cut scores used for school and district accountability • Fall 2013: WKCE same as 2012, New assessment will be field tested, cut scores for all participating states determined for accountability • 2014: Full implementation of new test, moves to 11th grade, Spring
