- Slimmer evaluation schedule
- Updated criteria to evaluate schools
- Increased focus on teaching, learning and assessment
- More lesson observations often joint with senior leaders
- Increased focus across the curriculum on Reading, writing , spelling and Mathematics

Main changes
- Inspectors to hear pupils read in Primary Schools and focus on the teaching of reading and promoting communication in Special Schools
- Slimmed down but beware 27 former judgements combined within this new evaluation schedule

- Particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities – Not SEN but SEND – seen SENDco advert

Notice and Inspection
- Same amount of notice. 2 – 3 days
- Outstanding Schools will still get inspected as – Part of themed inspection
- If there is a concern re Safeguarding
- If there is a change of leadership
- Satisfactory schools will be inspected more often than Good ones
