  2. When Choosing a Personal Trainer • Before spending money on a personal trainer, spend time first in thinking whether you are making the right choice. You don't want to end your fitness program feeling unsatisfied as you didn't achieve the results you want.  • It's also important to educate yourself on what you need to do on how you can ensure success. For example, while your trainer can recommend a diet plan for you, all the work lies on you. • If you can't eat right, then your efforts might only go down the drain.
