The Health Services Union or HSU works towards safeguarding the rights of health workers in Australia along with offering a host of benefits to its members. The health services union has initiated several campaigns to protect the rights of health workers. HSU also offers Journey Insurance and Bereavement benefits to its members. Under the Journey Insurance, a member is provided with monetary support of up to 85% of his weekly wage to a maximum of $1500 every week in case he/she gets injured on the way to or from work. In case of death of HSU member, the next of kin gets $10,000 as bereavement benefit.
