  1. Tips To Avoid Bad Breath

  2. Bad breath, medically known as halitosis, is an embarrassing problem.  Even though everybody wakes up with a bad breath, but if this bad breath persists throughout the day, it is absolutely necessary to take proper measures.  Here are some simple tips to get rid of bad breath:

  3. 1. Brush and floss regularly Brush twice a day to remove plaque, and floss once a day to remove all the food particles that’s stuck in between your teeth, even after brushing. While brushing is an absolute must, flossing is also important to get rid of the stinky breath.

  4. 2. Rinse your mouth Rinsing your mouth daily with a good mouth wash can prevent bacterial growth and infection, and can help combat bad breath. You can also use a salt water mouth rinse, but consult with your dentist before you do so.

  5. 3. Drink plenty of water Dehydration is one of the major causes of bad breath. Bacteria often attack a dry mouth, therefore, increase your water intake and stay hydrated. If you make enough saliva, the chances of bad breath are minimal. To increase the flow of saliva & wash out bacteria, you can also chew sugarless gums.

  6. 4. Don’t forget to scrape your tongue Cleaning your tongue is as important as brushing your teeth. Bacteria love to lodge at the top/back of your tongue, make sure to clean it using a toothbrush or a tongue scraper.

  7. 5. Stay away from foods that sour your breath If you are worried about your bad breath, you must stay away from garlic & onions, as they are deadly for your breath. Also, no matter how great coffee smells, it also allows bacteria to linger in your mouth, causing a foul smell for a long time.

  8. 6. Say no to smoking Smoking damages your gums, stains your teeth & worsens your breath. So, if you want to smell good, quitting smoking is an option to go for!

  9. If your bad breath doesn’t go away, even after following all these tips, don’t hesitate to visit a dentist. Regular visits to the dentist are necessary to keep all the oral issues at bay! Maintaining a good breath is not as difficult as you think! Take care & don’t forget to smell good! Read more blogs here and be healthy: Visit: http://healthcareathomeindia.com/knowledge-center
