  16. Case-study Miriam is in year 4 and has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, which affects mainly the lower half of her body but has some impact on her fine motor skills. She uses a wheelchair and has a supportive chair in class. She also has epilepsy, which is controlled by medication. Miriam has no diagnosed speech and language difficulties but is working at a level slightly below her peers. She is not yet fully independent with toileting. In groups, discuss what adjustments Miriam might need if she were in your class.
