  1. Welcome to theUnited Methodist Churchin Washington

  2. “Battle Hymn of the Republic”Julia Ward Howe Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord. He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored. He has loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword. His truth is marching on.

  3. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

  4. I have seen him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps. They have builded him an altar in the evening dews and damps. I can read his righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps. His day is marching on.

  5. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

  6. He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat. He is sifting out the hearts of men before the judgment seat. O be swift my soul to answer him. Be jubilant, my feet. Our God is marching on.

  7. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

  8. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me. As he died to make men holy, let us die to make men free, While God is marching on.

  9. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

  10. He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave. He is wisdom to the mighty. He is honor to the brave. So the world shall be his footstool, and the soul of wrong his slave. Our God is marching on.

  11. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

  13. Independence Sunday

  14. Dear God, Thanks for all the fun that we had at Vacation Bible School this week. Thanks for our country, whose birthday we celebrated yesterday.

  15. Be with those who can’t be here with us today, especially those who are sick. Help us to serve you by serving others in their need. We pray in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray, saying:

  16. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

  17. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

  18. Announcements!
