  2. Introduction • Haematology mainly involves the study of blood. In General, haematology tests are performed to diagnose many health and disease conditions. • Hematology tests include tests on the blood, blood proteins and blood-producing organs. • These tests can evaluate a variety of blood conditions including infection, anaemia, inflammation, haemophilia, blood clotting disorders, leukaemia and much more.

  3. The common haematology tests include full blood count testing, • White blood Cells testing • Red Blood Cells testing • Haemoglobin testing • Hematocrit and Platelets • Mono screening • Vitamin B12 Deficiency testing • Renal profiling • Cholesterol testing • Blood glucose testing

Full Blood Count Testing • Full blood count Testing is a routine test that evaluates three major components in the blood. • They are White Blood Cells (WBC), Red Blood Cells (RBC) and platelets. • There are many reasons for conducting a full blood count test, but common reasons include infection, anaemia and suspected haematoma oncological disease.

With the help of some simple blood tests, we can detect whether vitamin B12 levels are decreased. • This vitamin is essential for healthy blood cells, healthy nerves and stable DNA. • If a deficiency is detected, this condition is easy to manage with supplements, changes to the diet and vitamin shots.
