  3. Workforce Information Grant • ALMIS Database * • Occupational Projections * • Occupational/Career Information • Support State and local WIBs • Electronic workforce information delivery system • Support state workforce information training activities * Specific guidance provided by ETA

  4. Currently • Ad hoc approach to providing services • R&S staff judge which ideas would be most important/helpful What’s Needed • Advisory Group to help prioritize • Systemic approach for identifying information needs • Customer-driven priorities • Engaged LWIBs

  5. Labor Market Information Advisory Group • Provide policy-level direction on information needs • Recommend new and changes to existing products and services • Assists in the development of the annual Workforce Information Plan

  6. The Advisory Group Membership • Local WIBs (majority) • State WIB • Workforce Development staff • Research & Statistics (non-voting)

  7. Advisory Group • Chair elected by members of the group • Meet at least semi-annually • Division of Research & Statistics will provide administrative support • Establish a draft charter
